Welcome to The Rural Child Traumatic Stress Virtual Program Center (CTS-VPC)

Dear Colleague:

We would like to welcome you to the Virtual Program Center of the Center for Rural, Frontier, and Tribal Health, part of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN). This project focuses on developing and evaluating a national training and technical assistance center for rural, frontier and Tribal professionals and organizations who work with children and their families who have experienced trauma.

Through a grant from SAMHSA we are able to offer free training and technical assistance (TTA) to individuals and organizations serving children including health and mental health facilities, schools, faith-based organizations, etc. To participate, you need to be located in or serve predominantly rural, frontier and/or Tribal peoples. We invite you to help us learn more about how best to support trauma-informed care. In exchange for free training and technical assistance, we ask that you participate in our data collection process.

If you would like to learn more about the CTS-VPC, click here for an announcement about the project. Click here for a step-by-step sample of participation.

We hope you choose to participate! Please feel free to share this information with others.

Sincerely,
The Faculty and Staff of the National Center for Child Traumatic Stress Center for Rural, Frontier and Tribal Health

Please note that much of the information about assessment and intervention available on this archive is intended for professionals with clinical training. Utilization of such information should be consistent with your areas of licensed or certified expertise. It is strongly recommended that professionals seek additional supervision when incorporating any new assessment or therapeutic techniques if they do not already have appropriate prerequisite training that would enable them to learn about and incorporate such skills independently.
